Fort Kochi

Fort Kochi, is in the south Indian state of Kerala. Arriving here was a welcome change from Rajasthan! Here, life happens at a slower pace, there is less garbage in the streets and there wasn't a cow anywhere in sight! We stopped at the beach on the Arabian sea and then went to see some old Chinese fishing nets. These nets were introduced to the area in the 1500's and the fishermen still use this method today! You can see me trying to help haul the net out of the water!










We also went to the Dutch palace and to the Jewish section of town. In the evening, we went to see some traditional dancing.
